Business Requirement

A leading Indian media conglomerate faces challenges in leveraging user data for content personalization, subscription pricing, and ad targeting. Their current analytics tools, based on Google Analytics, have limited segmentation and sampling capabilities, preventing user-level analysis. Additionally, they encounter data security, privacy, and GDPR compliance issues due to third-party cookie usage. The company requires a real-time analytics solution to enable rapid decision-making and hypothesis testing across their digital platforms.

Our Solution

HiFX stepped in to create a high volume, high velocity data analytics pipeline that could unify enormous amounts of raw data from multiple web domains and convert it into meaningful insights, to achieve the following goals:

HiFX provides a solution accelerator package called Lens, for setting up high volume and high velocity pipelines, complete with assets and delivery railings. With a technology backbone built based on the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and a horizontally scalable architecture, a data pipeline built on Lens handles enormous amounts of data streaming and batch analytics, and provides real-time analytics on a centralized dashboard. Since our client’s existing infrastructure was already on AWS, Lens was a perfect fit.

Benefits

Using Lens, HiFX built a unified analytics pipeline for our client that currently handles about 150 - 200 GB of data per day and around 1 lakh events per minute.

It provides concurrent users' data in a real-time dashboard, giving editors real time analytics to make immediate adjustments to titles and details of articles, video and ads, to attract more traffic and optimize conversions.

In a nutshell , Our platform has offered lots of benefits such as predictive content personalization, precise ad targeting based on audience segmentation, improved customer engagement, effective data-driven decisions, and driving revenue by turning data into engagement.

Client’s marketing team can now track campaigns more effectively, with visibility on the number of page views per visit, the average time spent by users on each page, and the number of quality views, differentiated as unique and repeat visitors etc.

The data pipeline also eliminated data security concerns of our client and has ensured more conversions for sales campaigns.
